Things get started Friday night at Mohawk for Austinist’s Local Music is Sexy VI. Things get started at 8 with The Eastern Sea, followed by Leatherbag, The Lovely Sparrows, Brothers & Sisters, and Foot Patrol will wrap things up.
Saturday the festival begins with a promising day. I will be camped out at Stage 1 all day recording the likes of Parts and Labor, Centro-matic, Bishop Allen, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and The National. Brownout! on Stage 4 at 6:00 should be a good set and I am especially looking forward to the Atmoshpere show at 7:35. I really wanted to see Tim Fite also but I got a chance to work with him during SXSW 08 and he is on Stage 2 at the same time as Atmosphere. Wack. DJ Z-Trip would have also been a nice show to catch, Atmosphere besta be good.
Sunday will be just like Saturday minus the afterparty, hopefully. In addition to Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Islands, The Black Angels, St. Vincent, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, I will be checking out The Annuals, Grupo Fantasma and Clipse for sure.
Monday its into the studio to get things sounding nice for TMM;s show on Friday. Life is good in beautiful Austin, TX.
